The improvement programmes we would deploy to accelerate progress at our academies will make extensive use of the excellent material used as part of the City and National Challenge programmes and the Improving Schools programme (ISP). Building on these and other tried and tested programmes our aim will be to:

strengthen the leadership and governance of each academy

develop a whole-school focus on learning and accelerating children’s progress

improve the quality of learning and teaching in all subject areas

enable children to reflect on, evaluate and be responsible for their learning

support curriculum review and the provision of a curriculum that meets the needs and interests of all learners
