School Improvement Solutions (SIS)

A new approach to school improvement focusing on finding solutions to meet the needs of school leaders in a rapidly changing educational landscape.

Our School Improvement Solutions team is a network of professionals - serving headteachers and school leaders, school improvement partners, inspectors and consultants - whose work is quality assured and moderated. They are supported by regular training, excellent technical support and a nationally recognised and proven project management and administrative team.

Who is this for:

Our School Improvement Solutions can benefit any school or early years setting. It will support those leaders who are embracing new challenges and opportunities as they continue to raise standards in a climate of reducing budgets, increasing accountability and changing national expectations.

What are the benefits:
  • establishment of an ongoing professional partnership to promote and sustain school/setting improvement
  • solution-focused support and consultancy
  • access to a new range of CPD opportunities through The Balance Consortium, our established partnerships with universities, other training providers, schools and those working in child care and family services
  • professional development for those who engage in the broader networking and support opportunities

School Improvement Solutions Team members are working with Heads and Governing Bodies to ensure that each schools is able to take control with their own improvement, in line with the Government's White Paper, The Importance of Teaching (November 2010).

How is it delivered:

The core package includes on-site consultant time provided flexibly to suit a school's own needs and stage of development. Advice and support could include, when appropriate:

Our advisers use their professional experience and the collective knowledge to deliver solutions.
