The new inspection framework (from January 2012) has a stronger focus on the role of governors in ensuring that schools improve. Best Practice Network provides support that strengthens governance. We make extensive use of the Stronger Governance systems programme which exemplifies 'what good looks like' and enables governing bodies to drive their own performance and to become outstanding.
Stronger Governance Systems is the key programme developed by the DfE in collaboration with the National Governors' Association. It is designed to help governors better fulfil their strategic role in relation to school improvement.

The core package includes a minimum of six hours of expert facilitation and training which is used flexibly to create a bespoke solution that reflects your school's individual needs. For example, we can arrange a discrete twilight training package matched to your needs.
A typical training session will last about two hours. Where two or more schools work together, we will agree a reduced cost. We also offer induction support and an ongoing coaching and mentoring service for chairs and new governors.
