Certificate in Early Years Foundation Stage Practice - CACHE Level 3
This is an exciting opportunity for participants, working in a regulated setting,
caring for children as an employee, volunteer or as a student on a work placement, to gain an accredited certificate that will provide
evidence of high quality training and assessment in Early Years Foundation Stage practice. It has been developed collaboratively by the Primary National Strategy, the Children's Workforce Development Council and Awarding Bodies including CACHE. Each unit will be assessed through assessor observation, a walk and talk tour of the setting and short reflective tasks.
This nationally recognised certificate may used to enhance professional practice before moving on to a full Level 3 qualification as well
as being suitable for those who have a Level 3 qualification and wish to update their skills.
The programme updates existing practice so that practitioners are competent to deliver the requirements of EYFS.

Challenging discrimination and anti-racist practice in early years settings
A one day training programme for all early years practitioners including full and sessional day care workers, childminders, playworkers and nursery school staff, which gives them a clear understanding of the negative effects on children, young people, families and fellow workers who may be victims of any form of discrimination.

- Offers practical ideas and information on policies, procedures and what legislation there is to protect people
- Makes links to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child 1991
- Covers issues as human rights, racial discrimination, disability, special educational needs, sexual discrimination

Disability Awareness - a one day training programme for early years practitioners
This programme has been specifically developed to promote disability awareness of early years practitioners, including childminders, who wish to extend their services to include offering suitable services for disabled children and their families.
The training promotes best practice and is designed to develop participants' understanding of:
- the legal framework - DDA Act 1995, SEN Code of Practice, Ofsted, EYFS Statutory Framework
- the social model of disability
- issues and images of disabled people and language used about disability
- the inclusion of disabled children in childminding provision
- issues concerned with working with parents of disabled children
The training methods include presentations, sharing good practice, discussion, reflection and group activity.
