Accelerated Leader

The Accelerated Leader Programme has been designed to support aspiring school leaders in the 5 areas identified in the National Standards. The programme combines the use of a 360° assessment tool, group workshop activities and one-to-one coaching to maximise the potential for leadership development, impacting upon individuals, leadership teams and schools.

Exceptional Schools Award

The Exceptional Schools Award exemplifies the excellence and uniqueness of outstanding schools, including the quality and consistency of teaching that Ofsted now expects. The quality standard is based on the attributes and practice of the best schools nationally. It includes a 360 online survey of stakeholders that provides a unique insight into the effectiveness of the school’s provision and informs school improvement planning and a timeline for achieving the Award.

ILM Level 3 Award in First Line Management

The Award in First Line Management is a concise qualification which gives an introduction to the basic skills, knowledge, and understanding required by today's first line manager. The mandatory unit in 'Solving Problems and Making Decisions' is designed to develop practical techniques for tackling managerial problems and decisions from gathering and interpreting information through to the effective communication of outcomes.

ILM Level 5 Certificate in Leadership and Management Skills

The Certificate builds on the leadership and management skills gained in the Award through a choice of additional units covering a variety of leadership and management topics. (Please note participants are not required to undertake the Award as a prerequisite and may join the Certificate directly). From ‘Developing the manager as a critical thinker’ to ‘Making professional presentations’ the Certificate in Leadership and Management Skills can be tailored to meet the varying needs of participants across all employment sectors.

Leadership Pathways offers senior school leaders practical access to the latest in leadership thinking and school practice, which will benefit their schools as well as them as individuals

Where Next - progression for HLTAs

Gaining HLTA status is a recognised progression route for support staff working with teachers to personalise provision, raise standards, promote inclusion and help each learner fulfil their potential. Having gained the status, many HLTAs are interested in extending their professional development still further. Our popular 3 day Where Next?' programme is the ideal vehicle for this.
