Share your favourite children's books in our Brilliant Books survey

Which book do you find most successful in engaging children's imagination and attention? Maybe there's a book you remember most fondly from childhood that is still in print?

Whether you’re a parent or teacher of young children, you’ll know that reading books aloud to children stimulates their imagination and expands their understanding of the world, as well as helping them to develop language and listening skills. Even after children learn to read by themselves, it's still a rewarding activity to read aloud together.

You may have books from your own childhood that have stayed with you over the years, providing comfort or excitement, and that you are now able to share with your own children or those you teach. No doubt there are many more recently published books that you have discovered and shared.

We’d like to make a contemporary list of books in print, suitable for children, which our network of education practitioners and parents can refer to. We’d really appreciate it if you could spend a couple of minutes filling in a very brief and anonymous survey, to share the books you love to read with children.

You can take the survey more than once if you have more than one book to suggest, and it will only take a couple of minutes. We won’t be capturing your details or emailing you.

Take the survey here. Thank you for sharing!
