Register now for a place on our Level 6 training programme for
leaders and managers of playworkers.
The first 20 places are fully funded by CWDC, making them free to participants. Delivered over 5-6 months, the programme requires 10 days commitment from participants.
Candidates will have
leadership and management experience and be in a paid role that requires them to think strategically about playwork as part of integrated children's services.
Playwork: Leadership and Management Programme
The emphasis of the programme is on developing personal practice, knowledge of the delivery of Playwork within integrated services, and building effective
leadership and management skills.
Practice-based and graduate-level, this programme offers participants the opportunity to:
- Enhance leadership and management skills
- Contribute to integrated service development
- Support children's access to more and better play opportunities

Who is it for?
Candidates will have management and/or leadership experience, as well as knowledge of child development and core values of play. Participants should be in a paid role in the public, private or third sector, such as:
- Middle managers in local authorities
- Play rangers and play champions
- Leaders in play pathfinder and playbuilder local authorities
- Play service managers, senior and lead practitioners
Candidates do not necessarily have to have a degree but must show that they have relevant qualifications and/or experience and can benefit from this Level 6 programme.
The programme aims to attract participants whose role requires them to think strategically about Playwork as part of integrated children's services.
