Twenty12 – developing future school leaders
This programme is for aspiring school leaders to help them make the mindshift to lead schools differently by 2012 and beyond. The
programme creates opportunities for participants to develop their understanding and capability in key areas of leadership and learning.
The programme is designed to be innovative and experiential.
How is it delivered and what is the cost?
Sessions
are co-tutored/facilitated by key Local Authority or School Network colleagues partnered by a BPN facilitator (facilitator participant ratio
1:8, minimum group size of 16). This ensures the local
contextual needs are met and that the professional supportive relationship
of LA/Networks with schools is maintained. The BPN consultant adds
an external facilitation dimension that complements the
LA/Network facilitator. The components of the programme may include:
- Forty-eight hour residential event followed by four one day or half day workshops over six months
- Co-Coaching in pairs/triads related to development of leadership competencies necessary in challenging environments
- An international experience to study leadership of change in an evolving social environment
- Future Sight activities
- Modules on Core Purpose of Headship, Management of Change, Emotional Intelligence, Community Leadership
- Action Research placements in a regeneration/development project team of Children's Services, wider public sector and
private sector organisations
- Bespoke modules specifically relevant to your school's context - co-created in partnership with you
The cost of the basic
programme is £1,495 + VAT. Additional modules,
including Executive Coaching, are also available.
