The Nursery

Spring Harlequin is an exceptional nursery located in Witham, Essex. It caters to children aged from birth to 7 years and offers wraparound care, including breakfast and after-school clubs. The dedicated staff strive to create a stimulating, fun, and educational environment for the children. They believe in the importance of play and embrace a natural, organic approach to learning. The nursery prioritises the safety, warmth, and security of the children and works closely with parents and carers to support their interests and goals. With a lead Senco and lead PANCO, the nursery provides additional support for the children. Nutritious and healthy meals, prepared by a qualified cook, are served to ensure the children's nutritional requirements are meet. The nursery offers both indoor and outdoor play spaces, including a garden with a mud kitchen, fairy garden, and challenging construction area. It truly is a wonderful place for children to thrive and enjoy their early years.

In the role of Apprentice you will;

• Work alongside nursery practitioners, helping to support children's development.
• Help plan and set up activities for a range of children with support of the team.
• Develop good relationships with the children and families. 
• Daily updates on our online system (famly) to keep families updated. 

What we need from you: 

• Our successful candidate will be enthusiastic and proactive. They will have a positive attitude and will have the skills to form strong, supportive relationships with parents, children, and the team. 
• Our Job Description outlines the requirements of the role. But, the 'must haves' are:
• A genuine interest in childcare and a true passion for working with children 
• Patience, a friendly manner, and the ability to communicate with children, young people, colleagues and other adults such as parents and carers
• A commitment to your qualification and the ability to manage work and study

The Training

You will be completing an Early Years Educator Level 3 Apprenticeship. The expected duration of this course is 18 months.

On successful completion of your apprenticeship, you will be awarded:

• Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship
• Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid OR Level 3 Award Emergency Paediatric First Aid
• Apprentices will achieve an EYE qualification which has been approved to count towards the EYFS level 3 child: staff ratios
