The Nursery 

Spring Wellsprings is located within the leisure centre at Wellsprings, in a residential area of Priorswood Taunton. The setting offers the excitement of learning through play supporting the children through their journey.

The highly qualified staff team nurture and support and scaffold the children throughout their early years in childhood. We pride ourselves in having great parent career relationships building a safe secure environment for children to form safe attachments  to the team. The setting provides up to 45 spaces within the two play spaces, providing full day care and part days for children from 3 months – 5 years.  The setting organise regular outings into the community and have established excellent external partnerships. The outdoor space has recently been enhanced in partnership with a local college to create an exciting and stimulating space for children.

As a new adventure in Spring Wellsprings, we now offer Holiday Club for school aged children up to 11 years. Providing them with the space to have adventures during their time away from school.

In the role of Apprentice you will;

• Work alongside nursery practitioners, helping to support children's development.
• Help plan and set up activities for a range of children with support of the team.
• Develop good relationships with the children and families. 
• Daily updates on our online system (famly) to keep families updated. 

What we need from you: 

• Our successful candidate will be enthusiastic and proactive. They will have a positive attitude and will have the skills to form strong, supportive relationships with parents, children, and the team. 
• Our Job Description outlines the requirements of the role. But, the 'must haves' are:
• A genuine interest in childcare and a true passion for working with children 
• Patience, a friendly manner, and the ability to communicate with children, young people, colleagues and other adults such as parents and carers
• A commitment to your qualification and the ability to manage work and study

The Training

You will be completing an Early Years Educator Level 3 Apprenticeship. The expected duration of this course is 18 months.

On successful completion of your apprenticeship, you will be awarded:

• Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship
• Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid OR Level 3 Award Emergency Paediatric First Aid
• Apprentices will achieve an EYE qualification which has been approved to count towards the EYFS level 3 child: staff ratios
