NPQ scholarship funding

NPQ scholarship funding is not available for your school because it is an independent school. Scholarship funding is limited to select state funded schools and academies.

Apprenticeship Levy Funding

Guaranteed funding is available for the NPQLT, NPQLTD, NPQLBC, NPQ for SENCOs, NPQSL and NPQH  Leader Apprenticeships with NPQ.

Funded through your school's Apprenticeship Levy, learners on the Leader Apprenticeships with NPQs work towards completing both a full NPQ and an apprenticeship leadership standard.

These programmes are suitable for learners looking for extra challenge and the ability to benefit from cross-industry leadership expertise.

Scholarship funding for autumn 2026 

Funding for autumn 2026 will target those teachers and leaders who work in the most challenging schools or educational settings, serving more disadvantaged communities. 

Scholarship funding to cover the full NPQ course cost will be available to teachers and leaders from: 

• the 50% of schools with the highest proportion of students who attract pupil premium funding
• 16 to 19 educational settings identified as having high disadvantage
