A special route into Early Years Teacher Training
Best Practice Network has set aside a small number of EYITT places for those who have completed an early years apprenticeship with our sister company, Eden Training. Because of the high quality of Eden’s training and the strong study habits their apprentices build, anyone applying through Eden will be fast-tracked into our Early Years Teacher Training route—provided they hold a degree.
This is a great next step for those who want to keep learning and growing in early years. It builds on everything you’ve already achieved, and you’ll continue to get the same care, encouragement and one-to-one support that made your apprenticeship experience so positive.
- As an early years teacher, you’ll be backed by rigorous standards: EYITT ensures you meet all the Teachers’ Standards (Early Years) across children aged 0–5, through structured training and placements in at least two varied early years settings
- As an early years teacher, you’ll shape high-quality learning environments: You’ll deepen your understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and gain the skills to design engaging, inclusive learning that supports each child’s development from birth to school entry
- As an early years teacher, you’ll gain status with no cost to you or your setting: EYITT is fully funded by the Department for Education. Trainees earn Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS) in just 12 months, with no personal cost and a £7,000 incentive for your employer
