Apprenticeship Overview

The Level 5 Operations/Departmental Manager Apprenticeship is designed for colleagues responsible for managing projects in line with a private, public or voluntary organisation's operational or departmental strategy.

The apprenticeship supports the development of the following skills, knowledge and behaviours:

    Delivery includes:

    • Monthly webinars to deliver Knowledge elements
    • Monthly meetings with Apprenticeship Tutor
    • Regular face-to-face training events
    • Regular Observations with Apprenticeship Tutor/mentor to evidence skills
    • Witness statements to evidence behaviours
    • 15 to 18 months duration

    Our delivery model is a blended learning model consisting of the following components:


    Am I eligible?

    Apprentices must have:

    • Support from your headteacher and levy account holder
    • 5 GCSE’s at Grade C (4) including English and Maths, or able to achieve Level 2 English and Maths whilst on programme
    • Must have held residency in the UK for the last three years

    How do I access the funding?

    You can access funding from your school’s apprenticeship levy. Schools will be able to access the funding through their apprenticeship service (AS) account.

    If your school needs help setting up your AS account, just let us know and we’ll guide you through it.

    The level of funding depends on each candidate’s learning needs, with a maximum allocation of £7,000 to cover the cost of the apprenticeship.
