National Professional Qualification for Early Years

  • To underpin and increase EY specific pedagogical leadership in EY settings.
  • To support the catch up of children whose development has been impacted by the pandemic, through improved leadership of nurseries and early years school based settings, resulting in strengthened staff pedagogy.
  • To address a critical gap in the sector in terms of a high quality offer for leaders.
    Intention is to have a single EY framework, but given the distinct differences within the EY audience, the provider offer will need to consider how best to deliver content to each cohort.
