Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprentice
Working in our Inclusion team supporting children with SEND
Hours: term time 36 hours a week, term Time Only
Wage: National Minimum wage – higher than the apprentice rate
Start date: September 2026
We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable, full-time level 3 Early Years Educator apprentice with a genuine interest in education and supporting young children to learn. Kay Rowe is a friendly, inclusive Newham Nursery School, rated Outstanding by Ofsted. We have children on roll aged 2, 3 and 4-years old. Our values of respect, equality and passion for education lie at the heart of our curriculum. Our staff team have high aspirations for children and families and work closely with parents. We have a strong commitment to outdoor play and Forest school.
You will be supported to train for a fully funded level 3 qualification over 18 months and encouraged through the guidance of mentors and tutors to become a reflective practitioner. You will be working alongside teachers and practitioners educating and caring for children 2 to 4 years old. You will be supported to gain experience and confidence with young children whilst studying to gain your Level 3 childcare apprenticeship.
This post is based within the Inclusion team. You will receive extra training on how to support children with SEND and learn from expert practitioners.
Applicants should have a caring and responsible attitude and be committed to work in a busy environment with a flexible approach to work. You will need to have a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. This role requires an enhanced Disclosure and Baring Service (DBS) check on the successful candidate.
You cannot apply for this role if you already have a level 3 Early Years Educator qualification, however you can apply with any other qualification. You will need
- GCSE Maths and English (grade 4/C+), and the ability to use ICT

Safeguarding Statement
Applicants who are not UK nationals must meet apprenticeship funding eligibility rules, including having lived in the UK or EU for at least 3 consecutive years prior to the start date. You must hold a valid visa that does not expire within 18 months of your apprenticeship start date.
We will require a share code to verify your right to work and study in the UK. After submitting your application, you will receive a screening form where you can securely provide your share code for eligibility checks.
